Why are people such dicks? I don’t get it. Why do people put other people down for the things they like or their sense of style or whatever? I know several people who label people as “scene fags” or “stupid hipsters” and whatnot. STOP. People can like whatever the fuck they want to and you shouldn’t be allowed to make fun of them for it. If you don’t like that, that’s fine! You absolutely don’t need to put other people down for it though. Just because you disagree with an opinion doesn’t mean you get to deem it stupid or “faggy” (which shouldn’t be a synonym with stupid in the first place..)

Okay, do you see this shit? THIS IS NOT FUCKING OKAY. The old Facebook page called “Cell” was shut down a couple of months ago because of a lot of offensive content and was reported quite a bit. Now I was looking through my newsfeed and I find their new page called ” Cell.” Not a big change but a lot of the same offensive, racist, sexist asshole commentary. He makes fun of most of the races, depression, cutters, makes fun of religions, feminism and basically everyone. I’ve reported his page a couple of times now and I keep getting the same thing from the Facebook staff ” we reviewed your last complaint and have found no content that breaks any of Facebook claims. ” We need to do something about this, or else this will continue. His page is right HERE. We, as a community, need to do something about this.

Both photos are of my daughter in October, the first in 2011, the second in 2012. I let her pick out her own clothes, shoes, haircuts, hair colors, anything superficial, really. She’s too young to understand the permanence of piercings, so she doesn’t have any. But hair grows, shoes get grown out of, clothes go threadbare. These things don’t really matter—shouldn’t really matter—but anyone raising a gender-variant child knows the world isn’t that kind.

My daughter recently requested a haircut like mine. A long flop on top, pixie-length fade on the back and sides. She’s been bugging me for weeks to color her hair again, I just haven’t had the time. But today she came to me with the same shyness she keeps developing when outside our home; she’s being pressured by peers and family to look “normal,” to grow her hair long and uncolored, to dress a certain way (she hates to match), to indulge in self-consciousness, and alter or not alter her appearance to gain the approval of others, and society at large.

THIS FUCKING INFURIATES ME.

I called my mother tonight, because my daughter had become shy again, and didn’t want to color her hair anymore, and she said it was because of what her Nana had said to her. My mother told me we should get that spray-on Halloween hair colors, so it wouldn’t be so “permanent” and my daughter could be “normal” again to avoid being bullied.

IT IS NOT THE JOB OF THE VICTIM TO STOP BEING BULLIED. IT IS THE BULLY’S JOB TO STOP BULLYING.

I know she gets teased sometimes, and we always talk about it. She stays strong and confident, so long as she has the support of those around her. But what that support falters, or pulls a 180, she’s left to crash.

She also gets teased for liking dinosaurs and not dolls. She gets teased for preferring roughhousing to playing house. She gets teased for liking Lightning McQueen and not Cinderella. Where do we draw the line?

My mother thinks this is a “minor” thing, that it’s better to just blend in. But it would plant the seed of doubt, it forms the foundation for queer kids staying in the closet, for disabled kids to feel worthless, for young girls accepting abusive partners. This is not “minor,” it is fucking MAJOR, because this is my daughter’s foundation, and it will shape her life.

Support your fucking kids. Let them be who they want to be, look how they want to look, and play how they want to play. And make sure they know that you will love them no matter what.

Hello friends, this is a violation of sections 959.06A and 959.131B of the Ohio state law. The former is a fourth-degree misdemeanor. The latter is a first-degree misdemeanor on the first offense and fifth-degree felony for each subsequent offense. This man shot a litter of kittens, not a single animal as the law is worded, so a case could be made for felony (or four). Either way, this is a crime. There is also the federal Animal Welfare Act which I’m not even going to get into.

According to the AVMA’s annual euthanasia panel, shooting an animal is only considered humane in emergency situations, as in if the animal presents immediate danger or is in too much pain to be moved. It also notes that the euthanasia must take place in a remote location. These kittens were healthy, in no pain, posing no threat to anybody, and were in the immediate vicinity of children.

And, this article has it wrong: Accorti is a humane officer, not a police officer. This is his job description, direct from the North Ridgeville, OH website: “The city employs two part time Humane Officers, who are responsible for enforcing the city and state laws governing the keeping, registration, vaccination, and sanitation of domestic animals.” He’s employed to enforce the state law, so he knew exactly what he was doing.

Please do not let this man walk away unpunished and with his job intact. Make noise. Get the attention of the higher-ups. Sign these petitions. Email or call any of these people: city mayor, district attorney, state attorney general, state senator, state representative, governor, US representative, US senators, or anybody else who has power over the police chief. You can do this even if you don’t live in Ohio.

The lives of five homeless kittens may not seem that important, but officers are not above the law. Barry Accorti could be charged with a felony for his actions if we can get the attention of the people with the authority to make this happen. Please, please, please stand up against animal cruelty and officers who break the law and expect to get away with it.

This one is right next door to the actual clinic and this place is seriously a nightmarish hell-hole for any unsuspecting women tricked by the anti’s. They assure you this this the abortion clinic, they get you inside, and then offer you food and drink—which of course, means that once you realize your mistake, you can’t run next door and catch your actual appointment, since you need to fast.

Women have come out of this building crying, and on a few rare occasions, without their pants. They take you to a back room for an ultrasound, have you remove your pants, and then begin lecturing you on the sins of aborting. They do not give you back your pants until you have listened, and a few women tricked this far refused to listen and stormed out furious, ashamed, and in their underwear.

This is the anti-choice agenda—lying, tricking, shaming, and embarrassing women to the brink of hysterics in hopes that she carry the pregnancy to term. Forcing her, through lies and manipulation, to do with her body what THEY want, not what is best for her.

There is no “choice” at the Louisville “Women’s Choice” clinics. Just abuse, shame, and bigots who would rather undress a woman to make her feel vulnerable and then explain how awful of a person she is than let her make HER. CHOICE.

I hate that this is legal. We spent an entire day in my Psychology class talking about “clinics” that do this sort of thing. I’m thinking of looking up and making a list all fake clinics that I can find and putting them around my town for women that want an abortion to see.
